Our Badge Collection holds approximately 1300 items dating from the early 1970s gay liberation period to the present. While the focus is Australian LGBTIQ+ badges, many have been produced in North America, UK and New Zealand. A range of badges are also held from allied movements like women’s liberation, black liberation, and the environmental movement. A small number of badge designs are held in archival collections.
