Our collection of over 500 oral history recordings from across Australia, documents camp life from the 1930s to the 1960s, gay liberation activism and law reform, and extends to the present day. In addition to interviews recorded by our volunteers, we have received donations of several important collections.

Access restrictions exist on many of our oral history recordings, depending on the wishes of interviewees, so we have more oral histories than you see in the list. If you have a subject of interest that you don’t see listed, please contact us – we may be able to help.
