Our audio collections include radio programs, published recorded music, recordings of conferences and other events, letters and diaries, mixtapes and DJ sets. Recordings date back to the late 1960s, with the bulk of our holdings from the mid-1970s onwards. Our recordings are held on 1/4” reels, compact cassette tapes, and digital files. Of particular note are our holding of over 2000 LGBTIQ+ community radio programmes from the mid-1970s to the present, as well as hundreds of recordings of mainstream radio programs on LGBTIQ+ subjects.
