The Australian Queer Archives is calling for proposals for presentations at our history conference to be held at the Victorian Pride Centre in Melbourne, 7–8 November 2026.
From posters to t-shirts, how-to-vote cards to condom packs, AQuA’s collection of election campaign ephemera is extensive, but we need your help to document the forthcoming election on Saturday 3 May 2025.

Since 1999 the Australian Queer Archives has offered a prize for the best fourth year thesis (honours or equivalent of about 10,000 words) submitted at an Australian university in the field of LGBTIQ studies.

AQuA is excited to announce the 'NGV x AQuA: Pride Month' series, which presents talks, discussions and workshops in National Gallery of Victoria's Community Hall at NGV Australia every Sunday in June - presented as part of the Melbourne Now exhibition.
The NGV and the Australian Queer Archives (AQuA) have collaboratively developed a series of short films to coincide with the NGV’S QUEER: Stories from the NGV Collection exhibition.
