Produced by Doug Lucas and Jan Hillier from Pokey’s nightclub for the first ALSO Foundation GayDay in 1981. The badge, was one of two produced for GayDay, the other badge said “I’m a Pokeys Poke”. The badges colour and slogan riffs off the recently changed Victorian car registration plates, which were green and white and included the slogan ‘Victoria – Garden State’, which were introduced in 1977. The slogan had also been used by youth group Young Gays in a fundraising sticker produced following the 5th National Homosexual Conference in 1979.
