This celebratory poster by Jan Fieldsend and printed by Lucifoil Poster Collective at Tin Sheds, was produced for a women-only dance held at the Women’s Warehouse (also known as Womyn’s Warehouse or Wimmin’s Warehouse). Established, as a women’s collective in 1979, the building was a five-storey warehouse at 9 Ultimo Road in Sydney’s Haymarket area. The building included a mixture of office and workshop spaces, as well as a cafe. The warehouse closed in 1981. The Archives holds a range of material documenting the warehouse, including gig and radio recordings, posters, and articles in the community press.
