Refractory Girl, n.5 (Summer 1974)
-
Description
Refractory Girl was the first Australian women’s studies journal. The primary purpose of the journal was to force “an awareness in all those who presume to write about society that the world is not composed entirely of men”. The journal was a key space for discussion of issues of the women’s movement in the 1970s, including lesbian issues. Issue No.5 was focused on lesbian issues, and included a feature on the Radicalesbians. The Archives holds a wealth of women’s liberation periodicals.
