The Papers of Rose Jackson hold a notable collection of drag costume designs by Rose and Anthony Thompson, mostly for the long-running club International Vanities (1969-1982), known as Capriccio’s or Caps. Caps was one of the most famous gay clubs on Oxford St, renowned for its drag shows. This costume design, for Rose and Karen, comes from the 1975 production The Line Up, produced by David Mitchell and David Penfold. Rose Jackson (1935-2011), was a transgender drag queen, costume designer, and bar owner.
