Description
This ground-breaking Australian 1972 ABC TV documentary on gays and lesbians, was the first to feature a gay male kiss on Australian television; there was an earlier lesbian kiss on ABC TV’s This Day Tonight program in 1970. The program features interviews with Peter de Waal and his partner Peter Bonsall-Boone (Bon), and Sue Wills and her partner Gaby Antolovich, all of whom were involved in Campaign Against Moral Persecution (CAMP) NSW. The show was to have a dramatic impact on the life of Peter and Bon, with Bon’s employer, The Anglican Church Sydney Diocese sacking him from his job at Mosman Anglican Church after the show went to air, leading to significant protests, and a life of activism for the couple.
